Hey Griffsters,

It's so quiet out there! Hope this doesn't wake anyone. I just copied
this from the Austin City Limits web site--though you must check your
local listings, this at least gives you a ballpark idea of when Ms.
Nanci will next appear there. And it looks like they're actually giving
her the full hour, finally . . .:=20

Happy New Year

Fran wandering kiwi here back home in New Zealand.

I had a fantastic time on my travels and of course a big highlight was
time spent in Austin, in particular attending a double header weekend of
Nanci performances at the Austin City Music Hall and a taping of Austin
City Limits.

I loved Austin (although I think it could do with, a few more hills,
a few sheep and a store that sold vegemite) and got to hear a lot of
great music there. My one regret was that I did not see local yodeller
extrodinaire Don Walser - who always seemed to have a personal crises
when I turned up to see him.

I wanted to say hello to all the wonderful Nanci-Netters I met on my
travels in both Canada and the States. It was a great pleasure to meet
you all, and thanks for not telling me too many sheep jokes.

Best Wishes to you all Fran

Dear NNuts,

Perhaps I should call this message "How I Spent My Winter Vacation or what
to do with your free time when messages on the Nancinet get slow". I
finally learned how to use a web editor and made my first attempt at a web
page. After a week of fiddling around I think its ready to unveil. Here is
the address for the portion of the homepage that deals with Nanci Griffith.

I call it the "Blue Roses Page"

http://pages.preferred.com/~chesman/links1.html

Some of the pages are still under construction but its about 80% there. I
hope to get permission to add some links to those of you who have Nanci Web
pages so maybe expect an e-mail from me soon.

Mike
