Just remembering Bill Peete today on the first
anniversary of his death. Sue (and family) - you're
also in my thoughts and prayers.

God bless the flyer.

A year now today since we all lost Bill Peete, one
half of Bill and Sue, as most of us referred to them,
always the heart and soul of this list and CandleList
and more. God bless NNet's Flyer, and God bless Sue
and family.

Sue, you have been amazing this past year the way
you've kept annual traditions going on this list, your
Nanci website still going strong, your strength and
cheerfulness in this forum. I have serious doubts
about what I could have mustered up in similar
circumstances, but I suspect Bill would be very, very
proud of you.

I will always remember Bill for never having a bad
thing to say in all the time he shared his thoughts
with us, and from what was universally said about him
last July, the way people had only good thoughts and
unbounding affection for him. A good man and a good
friend to so many, and it broke more hearts than
anyone could hold that he couldn't be around longer.

The thing I will always have from Bill is my most
treasured cd, a double cd I had the great, great
fortune of receiving from him. Bill so cleverly
filled it with all of the songs that had recently been
debated on NNet, at a time when examining and debating
lyrics was a hot topic around here. And Bill filled
the rest of it with music near and dear to him,
artists he wanted to spread the word about, stunning
songs that told me as much about him as if I'd known
him a long time, it seemed. So, this cd I treasure,
this cd that was first listened to on a long road trip
across the U.S. and Canada, unforgettable times in
unforgettable places with unforgettable loved ones,
now tied to this soundtrack of music that Bill wanted
to share.

What a force of positive energy he was. I can only
imagine what that means where he is now.

Julie

Well said Julie.

Special thoughts to Sue tonight. This is what community is: shared
joys, sorrows, and memories.

It's about more than just the music.
