Too much politics; not enough music. your mileage may vary.

Wow! The Kate Campbell house concert Friday night was amazing. I'm still
walking on air. An added bonus: Kate is traveling with her husband, Ira.
What a fun and optimistic guy he is!!

I would probably not have discovered Kate's music except for this great
community. I am so grateful for the sharing of great finds that goes on
here. Thank yew.

In reading the notes on Kate's CD, Portable Kate Campbell, I noticed a
thank you to our own John Graveling!! He's a celebrity!! Way to go
John!!

OK, so here's a little Nanci content. I'm off to see Nanci tomorrow
night in Chico, Ca. I'm wondering if it can top Kate Campbell? We'll
see...

I saw Nanci at the Fillmore last night. Mary Gauthier opened for her and
was well received. Nanci was more relaxed and enjoying herself more than
I've seen her in concert in many years. She seemed to be just enjoying
the moment, not worrying about fame and fortune or whatever. She sang
songs that haven't been included in her usual sets in the last few
years. She also sang a bunch from the new record.

A very enjoyable show.

Does anyone know if Gretchen Peter's new cd is ever going to be released
in the US?

Clive Gregson is the new guitarist. He has played a lot with Richard
Thompson. And no Ron De La Vega - Leann was playing bass. Anyone know
what he is doing now?

Subject: NN: Set lists available yet? Anyone going to concert in
Seattle?

Am dying to see a set list from this tour - would love to see one before
next Sunday nights concert at the Moore. Anyone else attending this
concert? My husband and I are spending the weekend in Seattle going to
see Steve Earle and Allison Moorer the night before. My daughter is a
employee at the Paramount/Moore theaters and has gotten us companion
tickets for Sunday so I have no idea where our seats will be but would
love to meet other NanciNetters.

I went to the Rio Theatre concert last Friday in Santa Cruz, CA. Mary
Gauthier opened for Nanci. At one point (before she sang Speed Of The
Sound Of Loneliness) Nanci mentioned that Mary reminds her of John Prine
in his early years.

Nanci looked and sounded very good, relaxed and enjoying herself.

Here are the songs she performed. The songs are not in any order; these
are the songs I remember her doing. Cheers, Sue

Simple Life
Listen To The Radio
Late Night Grande Hotel
Speed Of The Sound Of Loneliness
Heart Of Indochine
Beautiful
Before
I Love This Town
Last Train Home
These Days In An Open Book
There's A Light Beyond These Woods
 From A Distance
Ford Econoline
Gulf Coast Highway
It's A Hard Life Wherever You Go
If I Had A Hammer
Well Alright

Have to agree with Ed so far after two listens!
Over NANCI'S last three cd there has not been one that could not have
been fixed by a little
more stronger acoustic guitar (volume wise)! The picking may have been
there but MR MUSIC PRODUCER -EW CAN'T HERE IT!! Please turn the guitar
pick-ups up a notch so we can do the same at our end! We can't hear what
is not there meaning if the guitar sound is not burned onto the master
we will never hear those once famous picking styles from the queen that
seem to be hidden and need a fix .We are certain they are there, just
well hidden!!
thanks music people if any of you even read reviews from the music you
are producing these days or is it simply dollars and cents! rob boucher

Umm, make that MISS Music Producer...since Nanci produced this one
herself, I have a feeling it came out just the way she intended...
