Shelly Brisbin is a writer, editor and podcaster. She recently published the sixth edition of her book, iOS Access for All: Your Comprehensive Guide to Accessibility for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. By day, she is Web Editor and a producer for Texas Standard, a daily public radio news show. She is a contributing writer for AccessWorld, hosts podcasts, including Parallel and Maccessibility Roundtable and is a frequent guest on others’ shows. Shelly’s career in tech journalism spans 30 years, 16 books, hundreds of articles for leading tech mags and sites, and several stints on the editorial staffs of trade publications and Web sites. She served as editor-in-chief of Blogger & Podcaster Magazine, networking editor for MacUser Magazine, and online editor for learning company, Powered, Inc. and two Hoover’s Web sites. Her ex-podcasts include the award-winning Shelly’s Podcast, and App Store Pundit, an iOS app review show. When she’s not working, Shelly spends time with her husband and cats in Austin, Texas, watches ancient movies, makes delicious cocktails, and reads books, many of which are made of paper.
